The Ecotec '3 Rs Challenge', supported by Birmingham City Council is a new challenge for schools and educational institutions in Birmingham. We want to enhance pupils' understanding of environmental issues and encourage them to think of innovative and creative ways they can make a difference to their local environment.

Your school can submit a project idea on the theme of reducing, re-using and recycling waste. You can submit a project idea on any media. The winning schools in each age category (early years/infants, juniors and secondary) will receive a prize at a special awards ceremony in July 2008.

In addition to this, an overall winner will get the opportunity to work with Ecotec to help with their project or enhance their curriculum.
