Youth Sector Development Fund Managing Body

 

The Youth Sector Development Fund (YSDF) is a £100 million programme to develop the capacity and financial sustainability of third sector youth organisations in England. ECOTEC is the lead contractor for a consortium involving Catch-22, Business to Business and PrimeTimers. The consortium delivers grant administration and programme management services as well as a programme of integrated support to ensure funded third sector organisations achieve their development goals. As lead contractor, ECOTEC UK is currently managing 20 third sector organisations with grant values ranging from £1.5 million to £12 million.

 

The core team of 10 is based at ECOTEC’s offices throughout England in order to give regional coverage, with staff having extensive third sector and programme management experience. Account Managers work with funded organisations to establish their development needs through a diagnostic process and these needs are then specified and met primarily from within the consortium. A range of support formats are used from mentoring and one-to one consultancy to training and events.  

 

Management of the UK National Agency for the Leonardo, Grundtvig and Transversal Programmes
(Lifelong Learning Programme)

 

The Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) is a European funding programme which supports education and training across Europe. ECOTEC has been commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions and the European Commission to run the UK National Agency for the Leonardo, Grundtvig and Transversal Programmes. The programmes cover 27 EU Member States, 3 EFTA countries, and Turkey, Accession State. The current total funds distributed by ECOTEC under this contract are €140 million.

 

ECOTEC receives and assesses over 750 funding applications per year and is currently managing over 600 LLP projects across the UK. ECOTEC is responsible for the whole range of project activity from promoting the calls to tender through the assessment and contracting stages and subsequent monitoring of the projects throughout their lifespan. ECOTEC provides continuous support to the European Commission and the UK Government in the day-to-day management, administration and monitoring of the programmes.
